Before i take the leaking banjo off, can anyone tell the id and od of the washers, i installed new alu washers when i assembled it all, but now have oil in the tank, and want to see if i can find replacements locally.

thanks

I use metric dowty washers, there is a post I made on the site somewhere with the sizes.

This is it

There is a metric Dowty washer that fits and works better than the aluminium or copper washers, M30 may be the size but I will check later and update.

M26 for the oil tank banjo, 2 off per tank.

M30 was for the sump plug, 1 off per sump plug.

They call it an inch bore - with my vernier calliper a copper washer measures 1.02 inches
Outside diameter is just under an inch and a quarter.

Thickness is about 1/16”

Don’t forget you can anneal copper and aluminium washers, it will help them yield to an uneven surface and may help you stop your leak!

Dowty washers are also a superb idea!

I found fibre washers worked fine whereas aluminium leaked slightly.
Washers measured at 1" ID and 1-1/4" OD.

I saw this post but without indicating ID to confirm, the information is incomplete...
I have some copper washers from my VW drain plugs which measure up, so this helps.

M26 means its for a 26mm application, normal way to order metric nuts bolts and washers in UK.

Its a pond thing i guess on your side you say m26mm on my side i expect to reference the id. don't take any offense as none is intended,, i have spent way to much time as part of my profession kicking contractors and owners asses for not providing the full proper description...
