I took my oil tank out to fix that pesky top rear mounting bracket that allways breaks. First time for this bike though, Im looking in to trying the large hose clamp around the filler neck that others have talked about. If any one could post some pictures of how they did there's I would be greatful. Next is the Banjo part # ( 062207 ) and the big nut with the filter part # ( 061159 ) Mine could use replating but we've had mixed results from the platers lately. My rearsets got sent 1,000 miles away!!! I'm wondering if anyone makes a set in stainless? I looked at catalogs from Old Brits, Middleton & Rocky Point but don't see any of them listed. Has anyone seen them ? I know it might be pricey but it would never need plating again... Thanks, Glenn.

I electro plated mine with Caswell's Copy Chrome, a bluish nickel plate, looks just like chrome. Holding up for at least a year now. You can get a small kit for about $30 and you can do plenty of nuts and bolts using the immersion instead of the brush plating. I've got 2 banjos on my 69, feed and return and did both. You can only plate items that are small enough to put in a 3 cup glass. If you're interested, pm me and I'll explain, it's hard to figure out from Caswell.

Actually I was perusing through the RGM stainless parts tonight and they have the oil tank feed banjo and eye in stainless. Their part number 1311, 061159S. Looks like it includes the filter, which it should. Getting close to my b-day, so I was looking around.

Thanks Dave, I found them there too. Going to order a set and some of the Heringbone oil line too. My catolog doesn't show the "eyelet" part # 062207 seperatly in stainless but if you put that # in their search on line it comes up. I'll see what happens when I order it...
