I'll be firing up a rebuilt engine soon (I hope) and it'd give me some peace of mind if I could observe oil pressure during that critical first half hour break in. I don't want a permanent installation of a gage, so is there any temporary setup I can use just for test purposes?

Thanks

If you do a search on oil pressure you will find lots of posts as this is one issue of debate on commandos. Where and when to measure being the topic of debate. I would assume you want to measure the rocker feed pressure, no?

Any of these 100lb ers can be had for 30-40 bucks. These are oil filled and can be mounted on a temp basis using the bracket shown.

They don't detract too much even if left on the bike.

RGM sells one not to ride with, just to test the engine:

Get into oil system and it's on the third page.
