Oil leak - not seen before

Hi All

My Mk3 has never dripped any oil at all, however, I normally only use the centre stand. Today I moved the bike in the shed and used the side stand whilst I tidied up. To my horror I moved the bike again to find oil running onto the floor.

The oil was coming from underneath the engine directly beneath, but not from, the primary chaincase drain plug. I had a look and couldn't see the source so I thought I would contact the collective brains trust to see if this is a common issue and what might be the cause???

My MK111 had a nasty elusive leak from the primary side, finally discovered it was the gear lever crossover shaft seal at the rear of the primary.
A simple fix
