wish to drill holes in an earier cradle for the oil filter head, can anyone help with the location of the 2 holes?

Be careful when threading the bolts into the oil block. The thing is aluminum and strips out easily. I got one of mine cross threaded and stripped it out before I knew what was happening (it wouldn't tighten). Get them in most of the way finger tight to start and you should be good. It can be done without taking anything off the bike.

This is harder than it looks but maybe I'm just a klutz. Anyway I have seen a lot of cradles with holes that have been "moved" or enlarged. I F'd mine up when I did it -- just a little but enough to upset me because the bike was only a couple years old -- but was in my early 20s and thought I knew what I was doing. Now I would start with much smaller holes and work my way out. Ideally it would be done in a drill press with the cradle removed. Check that the filter does not hit the swingarm and there is enough clearance for the hose clamp to go around with the bike on the centerstand, shocks extended. It is tight in there.
