Does anyone know a great shop or experienced mechanic in the south east Pennsylvania area? The bike is a 1970 commando that is is pretty good shape but needs isolastic's work, a few seals, clutch work and a few odd's n end's to be tended too.

I've really tried to make it a point to do all of my own work on my bike. Not just for the experience of learning my machine but because I enjoy it. However, I'm going on almost a year of no riding due to the bike being 2 states away and working constantly. So, I've held off on trying to find a mechanic until now. I have to get some riding in and the bike does not need much attention.

The Bike is near West Chester Pennsylvania. That's about an hour south and east of Philadelphia. I remember hearing of a good mechanic near Lancaster PA but can't remember the name.

Although I have never used either of these places, they were recommended to me by a local British bike club.

Don's Mototrcycle Restorations
Collegeville, PA
http://www.donsmc.com/

Bachmans British Bikes
Kirkwood, PA
(717) 786-7526

I have some further away (from West Chester) if you want them. Northern Jersey and Philly suburbs.

i highly recommend don kuterbach >dons motorcycle restorations in collegeville.
i met don thru the delaware valley norton riders and he has done work for me on both my 650ss and triumph t100c.
years ago my good friend t-boned a car that turned in front of him on his 73 bonneville and don brought the bike back to better than new.
he does quality work and has attention to detail.
