I'm in the Vancouver area as well. The collector coverage is very reasonable, especially if you are able to make use of a collector multiplate. To go on a multiplate all of the vehicles must first be accepted as collector vehicles. It is a bit of a process to get the collector status, but once the bike qualifies it can then go on the list. My total cost for five bikes plated for a full year, 2 million liability, is just $550.
By comparison the non collector 05Triumph Daytona was about $500 for six months.

I've been told that 'production racer' bodywork could be bought through Norton dealers, but there's never been any confirmation of any other color than the yellow almost unversally seen. I'm thinking of a navy blue, but must be carefull about voiding insurance.
Any thoughts on the colors seen through the years on this body work option?

I would switch insurance. There should be some collector insurance that isn't that anal.
