A few month ago I've bought a new disc carrier from Norvil. Now I've tried to install it but unfortunately the new assemble rattles like hell, because the thickness of the carrier and the (norvil 13") disc is different i.e. the disc is 1.6mm thicker than the carrier. Any idea how to fix this?

been there, done that with the norvil 13" disc. the carrier is to soft and the disc and buttons wear it out. My fix was to machine up a spacer and switch to a rotor assembly from a Honda 929-954. not sold on the quality of the norvil stuff.

Norvil Disc Carrier

my production disc, does not have the soft carrier, the carrier is made of the same stainless as the disc,
it may be an option but is 320mm (12.6") not Norvil's 13" so maybe a bit small in diameter.
not as much offset as the standard disc but can be spaced out easily.

Where did you buy it?

I had a batch manufactured for my upcoming brake upgrade, consisting of specially cast slider, this disc and 6 piston caliper, info in other posts, If I remember correctly my disc is about 4mm less offset, there would be no problem fitting a spacer to get the standard offset, I'll check and measure in the morning

A 5.3mm spacer would be needed under my disc to bring it to the standard offset, because my disc is slightly thinner at the mounting flange , the studs are still long enough to accommodate the nut and spring washer, if a 5.3mm spacer was used. just a thought for those flogged out floating discs.

Going to have any discs on ebay in the near future ?
And those left sidecover attachments...
