Norton Owners Surrey Branch at Brooklands

Why
The yellow one I was told by the owner was raced way back but not sure if it was one of the original 150 odd PR's. It is however a 1969 registered bike. Mine is the oddball being a Roadster in disguise and the Red framed one is a replica put together with Norman White's assistance. The owner used to have Dave Croxford's (Peter Williams teammate) PR and sold it. He rues that day.

Dave, I love the photo that you have posted. I must be getting silly in my old age when even standard commandos look great to me ? I just wish that I has believed in them way back in 1978 when I built my Seeley. I didn't race it until 1973 because of my doubts that a motor with such a long stroke could cop a beating. When I actually tried it, even with the standard gearbox it was bearable, but with a close box, and the steering geometry right, it is magic !

I really liked this, which is amongst your photos ! ! I got an immediate adrenalin rush just looking at it. :

Thanks, those are great photos! I spent a day at Brooklands last year and hope to make it back someday, one day was not enough to see everything
