Norton Nemesis rebuild

Wow, I know it's a prototype, but Good Lord, that's a lot of work to change a tire.
Now that you've teased me, where's the rest of the build?

The first part may be the only one available at the moment. Looks like episodes will be rolled out over the next few months

Just stumbled into that video today. What I treat this will be to see....as one commenter on the video puts it "A national treasure being worked on by another national treasure!" ;-)

Also, anyone notice the "Ichiban Moto" sticker on one of Andy's work benches? Hope he's using lots of I.M.'s motorbike work tips....NOT!

wonder why they used rotary intake valves?
I just watch another YouTube video expaining them (not this engine). It takes quite a lot power to open and close normal valves and of course at high rpm, they are hard to control (float). It takes very little power for rotary valves, and they cannot float so high rpms are not as much of a problem.

It’s not the intake valves that are rotary on the Nemisis, it’s the throttle. It has rotary throttle valves in place of slides or butterflies.
Oops! Didn't even look. I was fascinated about rotary intake and exhaust valves video I saw.

Anyone who cuts crankcases in half with a hacksaw probably wouldn't use them :p

Shall we have a whip round and buy Alan some cordless tools?
He doesn't use anything like that
He builds everything in a single garage so really doesn't have space
In an interview he showed the very basic tools he has (hand tools)
He finds it really funny that the people have endless racks of tools to work on motorcycles

Right, ya gotta know what you're doing, so the means to make it happen is sort of secondary. That being said cordless is nice sometimes. Cj

The episode that cracked me up was when he was building the Kawasaki straight 6
And he cut the camshafts up on his lawn using a disc grinder with a cutting disc
Brilliant engineer
I met him at the kempton park classic bike show
He's a genuine bloke
The same on screen as off
