Peter has retired. There is no reason behind it I assure you. He just wanted more time in his personal life. My dad became his main go to person for all things Norton Mechanical. Engine rebuilds, warranty work, etc. We are not 100% sure if that will continue via Norton uk. TBD.
We have made many Norton friends and will still work on the bikes. We have a few engine rebuilds in the works. Basically balance and blue print for a few customers who want a smoother running engine. So far we have done 3 engines with incredible results. We have 4 more confirmed. These are bikes that are out of warranty.
We will continue to support Norton UK and share known issues if they would like us to. Again, to be determined. UK may want nothing to do with us.
As far as we are aware my dad will be a dealer and can get parts from the factory. Again, TBD.
I didnt know Peter retiring was public yet. How does everyone know?
And Britfan60 is correct, we are independent. We billed Peter when we worked on bikes.
The Manuals started for myself and then Peter wanted them for his dealers. Then I started sharing them for everyone to benefit from. I was not paid for them. Many of you made generous donations to support our efforts of manuals and taking the time to design tools and keep them at an affordable price.
Without Peter, none of this would have happened. Back in 2011 I heard new Nortons would be available in Canada. My dad is a huge Norton fan. I called the number and Peter answered. We made an apt to see the bikes. if it wasn’t for a lot of work from Peter to get past the strict Canadian rules for import, i wouldnt be typing this right now.
So huge thank you to Peter and this forum of amazing Norton enthusiasts.
