Hi has anyone got a picture of a Norton Inter1957 gearbox from a parts book as i am trying to reassemble one.

The Inter for 1957 used the same laydown gearbox as the dommies, only with a different 1st gear ratio, so any pic of a dommie gearbox will do. ? Wherein lies the difficulty, there is pretty much only one way it can all go back together. While the shifter forks appear identical, try switching them around if they don't like where they are.

57 Inters are rather uncommon, is it genuine 57 ??

The only problem you might have is in 'timing' the gearbox. From memory I think you rotate the cam plate until the bit with the hole sticks out then hold the change quadrant so that the inside end of it is right up as you fit the internal cover. Sorry that I am not much help with this, I sort of put my old gearbox together without thinking about what I am doing .
