Ebay Norton commando stanchions £12? ...well i have watched them fall to £38, so £12 aint that far away...is it :?:

So what the HELL are we getting! Well one things for sure, they are not "proper" hard chrome...Thats 100%, I have got a pair of £38 a go.

The top taper is not ground true for starters, Huge internal burs left, and the "Electoless" plate ...well i have cupboard handles with more chrome on!

Fork springs? Well a guy as emailed me saying is "British" made stock springs don't fit my Lansdowe Damper Kit..... Now i can understand a few thou vairation ..but .................wait for it..........75 thou ..thats almost 2mm :!: That's internal dia,,,not length.

I remember entering my apprenticeship....I had to wait three months ,because i was only fifteen. The lads producing your " Brit" made parts have retired at 15 :lol:

By the way ..i did not buy the stanchions to use..just to check them out, There is no way any are "British" my Hard chromer needs £55 EACH! to rechrome the original.

Better get back to the workshop ...the rice it getting cold!

Welcome on board John Robert! At least half of the so called genuine new Andover parts I buy suck! Some simply don't fit at all or have an inferior finish (I am lucky to have a lathe) It makes me feel very sad but I rest my case
