Hi. I recently purchased a 1967 Norton Atlas
Engine number N15CS/119803 which I believe is a 1967 Atlas 750
Gearbox number MA6392G which I believe is a post 1962 Matchless box
Frame number stamped on right side of head stock is GA39CTOA692, no idea on make or year

I am diligently removing and stripping components that I can see have problems and that has lead me to disassembly the front forks. I am unable to identify them. Fork stanchion length is 21 7/8" with no oil holes drilled, OD is 1 1/4". the damper arrangements are different on each side as per photos, and I am unable to identify the fork sliders as well !!

The N15CS prefix of your engine number says your engine was originally fitted to a N15CS Norton. Atlas prefix is 20M.

I can not help you on year of engine. The frame number is strange to me. My Atlas frame is stamped 20M followed by matching number for engine. The gearbox number is also strange to me. My number is simply Nxxxxx. You may have a bitsa.

Unfortunately, I can not open photo bucket images. Photobucket is a bad word on this Forum.

Slick
