Come on Mick, are you in Perth or Melbourne? Why didn't you tell me earlier, I could've ridden the 850 down.

Norton Christmas presents

Fullauto,

You'll be misbehaving with Ranmar....I'm just back for 2 weeks and catching up with the home boys. A couple of us are heading back to Melbourne after New Years day and getting ready for the Phillip Island Classic on the 26th where we crush the Poms and Kiwis for a 5th time in a row. If you're coming over east, give us a message and we'll take you around to the Port Melbourne Commando Club and show you some ripper roads hell better than wheat country WA.

Cheers,
Mick

Brother Jim gave me some Cortech Bags - so we can travel a bit more comfortably on vacations. I'll need to fabricate some bracketry to hang them off the back of the Norton.. hope they clear the Roadster pipes.

I've got the same bags. They're great, but if you hang them under the seat, you'll need to take them up a bit. Mine were too close to the muffler and singed that white protection patch a bit. It's heat resistant, but not fireproof! Now I just throw them over the seat. I usually top it off with their tail bag. Really nice system.

How about starting your Commando for the 1st time in 25 years at 12:30 AM on Christmas morning. Best present I ever gave myself. Put all the gifts under the tree by 12:00 and decided to take one last look at the bike. Started 1st kick and with slippers.

Awesome. Good thread, this. Happy Holidays all.

I treated myself to some items on the Waldridge #12 sales catalog.
I really like the look of those BAP fuel taps.
Couldn't beat the prices on sealed bearings not requiring a hub modification.
Thank you again to the rider who posted "the heads up" posting.
Got the order in in the nick of time.
Great prices them Waldridge folks :D

I too took advantage of Waldridge's prices on the bearings. Unfortunately the Canadian post seems to have lost the shipment.. ordered about Thanksgiving and not arrived yet. <sigh> Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

I'll try to comfort you, I've been shipping world wide with Canada Post for 35 years and have never lost a package yet (Knock on wood). I've done a lot of shipping often using econo no tracking services to France, Italy, Germany, Australia, Japan, China you name it and no losses ever. The usual hold-ups are with customs who will sit on a package until you start making noise, then it shows up soon after.

Keep your fingers crossed.

I'm sure it'll show up eventually. Glad it's not riding season, these parts are for the winter maintenance. Walridge is being very responsive and I couldn't ask for more from them.

Gotta love border customs
They miss 1/2 dozen terrorists but hold up some Norton parts for 2 months
Argh!!!
Marshal
