I was browsing Ebay and found this chopper frame for Norton drivetrain. item# 111020185419. Its a plunger frame made by Denver Choppers. I am in no way "connected" with this sale. I just like to dream of unique projects. I have built several Evo chppers over the years and have had some experience with Denver choppers. "Mondo" of biker build-off series owns Denvers I think. I know Eddie Hernendez worked there back when I bought one of his springer front ends. His welds are legendary!
Anyway, it is hard for me to tell if the Norton Isolastics would fit this frame so I could put an original cradle in this frame? Front mounts look alittle high? Also I have never seen a softail suspension done like that...kinda neat. Description says frame has no ID numbers on it. Would be hard to register. If you had a legal, registered Norton, I guess you could do a frame swap and run the donor's plates?
Lastly, it might be lens distortion, but frame may not be straight..looks kinda slanted to the right behind tank area? Maybe not. I do like how the foot controls are attached to the frame.
Could be a fun project.....I must ponder further.

Hehehe does the shapes and stance do kind of grow on ya. Not all choppers have to be foot forward.

It should handle really well. I might rebuild my bike with one and sell off the Seeley frame.

Come now , Accy ; Havnt you always yearned to wear flared trousers , grow sideburns . And cruise the freeways & byways laid back & strung out in the wind .

A front wheel six foot ahead , to let you know when theres a bump coming up , a sissy bar , and open exhausts . You need a New image . :D :P
Didnt you always long to be Peter Fonda . or did you miss that movie .

I've seen about ten seconds of that movie. A friend of mine was driving in the outer suburbs of Melbourne when the chopper craze was on years ago. He saw police and abulances at a crash scene here a guy on a chopper had been taken off into the trees by the bike's appalling steering. I've only ever sustained one serious injury off a motorcycle. It was from riding a home-built poorly designed piece of crap, and it caused me severe pain for about three years until I ended up in hospital have a piece of bone taken from the inside of my knee joint, both my cartileges went along with it.. I've spent my whole adult life trying to improve the handling of my bike. Choppers are just a travesty, only a deficient person would ride one. Fortunately these days in Australia , that sort of crap can only be registered with an engineers' certificate .

One thing about motorcycling when you build your own bike - it is extremely easy to build something that will s care you s hitless. A friend of mine builds choppers, and I've warned him a few times now. His last effort was building a chev V8 motor into one. I think he needs a brain transplant to swap his own with one from a chicken - he'd be a lot smarter. My brother and I have been into bikes for about 50 years, mostly racing on bitumen and speedway - we've experienced pain. You can get it from controlled motor sport, you don't have to be an idiot.
