norley goes for 5k+ ebay

That price doesn't surprise me actually. The bike doesn't really have any significance, so really it's just the sum of it's parts. And with the market being fairly soft, I wouldn't imagine anyone paying much more than that anyhow.

also ran across similar general comments that folks don't go there much (building) for the same reason(s), even without a soft market,

time, effort & $$$ that then becomes a hard sell,

from the info, i'm assuming (no info given) a featherbed aftermarket swingarm but i think the Buell M2 Cyclone rear wheel Is a 5" width & standard tire size is 170

Whilst I don’t disagree with any points raised here, it still looks like a lot of bike for the money, and a lot of cheap enjoyment to be had, especially when compared to some of the utter crap that people seem happy to pay big bucks for on eBay!

I’m thinking particularly of mediocre (at best) Jap or old boxer twin cafe racers / brat bobbers etc that are nothing more than an old bike with lots of bits removed and a few badly fitted Taiwanese mass produced ‘custom’ parts added!

No offence to any ‘individual’ who owns such a ‘custom’ bike of course...

Eddie,
Have to agree with you're comments on crap, sorry, brat bobbers or whatever they're called. Firstly, take one perfectly usable airhead or 750/4. Next remove all the good bits & fit ludicrous tyres that wouldn't lookk out of place on a 1930s car. Then fit a seat that would be uncomfortable for a trip to the corner shop & back. Next, think of a large number & double it. Finally place ad. on ebay.
Simples!

Getting a high bid of $6.9k and then relisting for $15.9k seems like wishful thinking.

How does it get to be a 67 with a JW Motorcycles Norton Replica Wideline Featherbed Chassis and a Harley engine.

Well crafted and a good bike but overselling by making false claims just turns people off.

If they find someone to pay $15,900 then good for them: not so good for the buyer.

It’s a pretty safe assumption that any special that you buy complete will not give you reliable transport, so what are you buying? If you want a project that you will spend time and money on, making it reliable, you can get one for a small fraction of $15,900.

They list loads of expensive parts that are in the bike. OK, but you can’t get the new price back for those parts.
