Just joined..wanted to say HI.
I'm from Connecticut,and have a '72 750 Roadster,along with a '05 Harley V-Rod and a Yamaha XJ700 X.
I had a '71 Roadster about 25 yrs ago. I got the '72 off Ebay a few months ago. She runs good,is all stock with almost 20k on the clock,it gives my brothers 850 a run for its money :D
I'll try to post a picture..

Hello :)
It looks really nice and it's good to hear that it's still possible to buy decent ones. We've heard some real horror stories here lately.

Do you know the actual production date ? With the camshaft breather, I assume that it is a 20M3S motor and presumably 1971 production ?

Welcome to the Norton "fold", you sure were lucky indeed to have snagged such a machine off e-bay, she looks to be in very good shape. Good luck. Ride safely. James.

Yes you are 100% correct on your assumptions! The build date is September of '71. What confused the bejesus out of my DMV..and they gave me a hard time about it,is that the title vin# specified 20M3S,then the six didget ID #,but the ID tag on the neck only specified the last 6 numbers, this got the DOT officers scratching their heads, and when they saw September '71 stamped on the tag,and the title saying 1972,more scratching occured,When I told them it was built in late'71 as a '72 model, they just kind of nodded their head
