I have a new to me 75 mk3 roadster. Been riding her local and she is running fine. But just a few local short hops. So what kind of range can I expect out of a full tank on the roadster ? Don't want to find out the hard way. Thanks

I have a "73" 850 Roadster and I start looking at about 100 miles and get very nervous at 125.

A lot depends on your bike, my friend will get 95 (74 850 Roadster) and starts sweating at 110

100 miles is my bench mark, its before having to go on reserve. I usually have about 2 litres left if the tank capacity is 11 litres. I haven't taken it down to reserve and tested that yet .

I went for a little spin some time ago and after reaching "reserve" I realized that I left my wallet at home. I drove 21.2 miles to konk out while pulling into my driveway. The ride home was delicate to say the least. I will leave the math to you all. Fiberglass tank at the time.

This is realy quite educational for me. Could ya do one more, this time starting off cold and see where heat glow first shows up on say 2500-3000ish rpm to to get full ignition advances and oil wedge on cam lifters and good hot flow into headers, no fan, just long enough to get a distinct indication. Hm, maybe once it does show up first hot spots, could spritz water on the area to see how it affect the temp spread. Non issue to engine as unloaded fuel ain't going to heat fully and Nortons easy tolerate sudden down pours on hot hwy travel.
