Greetings, I am new to this forum and I have a question regarding this frame, is this frame from a Norton Commando? The previous owner added a piece of metal to mount a double HD tank, but I will be taking off. Another question, is can a Manx or Triton style tank be put on a commando?

Hi,

Evan Wilcox makes some nice hand formed Manx style tanks for Commandos...see the site below. The frame in your picture is an early 68-70 frame with center stand attached to the frame rather than the engine plates as in '71 and later. Noticed the front tank mount is cut off your frame, so normal tank mount won't work.
