New Video of 850 MKIII Running

I put new plugs and a new plug wire on the left side. Tuned the Mikuni TM34 Flat Slide carb a little more and here is the result.

I reved her a little more, got a puff of smoke.

Being a dang ole braggart now, but sent it on to a few friends with and w/o a Commando for their listening pleasure also. Btw that was not smoke but the carbon dust left over prior being blasted out the muffler. Now back off-lean needle so it needs a prime or choke to start cold.

:D I cheated it was already warmed up in the video :D

Have to choke it cold...still starts on first kick but have to let it warm up before I could throttle it like that. Not running lean.
 
Arlighty then Denis you basically got it dialed in about prefect. May it stay that way a long time.
 
Your not the only one who cheats when doing 1ST START of a british twin. I always lay my hand on the barrel of any bike before witnessing the 1st lick phenomena :D

Hehehe, mikie your remark makes me think of a Alfred Hickcock type story of a man vacationing on an island and meets a mean bunch that trap him into a bet -
Will his Zippo lighter light 10 times in a row or miss a lick and lose a finger....
 
I'm really happy with how the beasty is running...ready to concentrate on the restoration now :D
