Since I had the bike on a stand and my tools out thought I might as well fit the seat cowl that I bought some time ago. Not quite a straight forward replacement and ended up drilling larger screw holes and I cannot get the front retaining bolt hole to match up. More work required with a step drill. Test fitted and I am happy with the look.

Exceedingly awesome. Is that the one which was raffled on Facebook a while ago?

The paint on that is unbelievable.

What’s the story with the raffle?
A manufacturer who I think is on this forum made some one off's for SG that weren't used. He found one in his shed and put it up for raffle to the highest bidder on Facebook group.

This is how I repaired the standard seat.
Fill post with araldite type glue.
Put into position & gently mark with drill bit.
Remove seat and drill hole in glue.
Fit thread insert.
Not pretty but it works and no one can see it.
