Well, I was going to post after I picked up the bike but....tomorrow is taking way too long. Last week I bought my first norton, a 73 commando, and have been on this forum quite a bit since then. The bike itself seems to be in fantastic shape, having been stored in doors since 1980.

Although, I'm sure there are going to be a few issues...( maybe more than a few issues? )
you guys seem to be a great source of info, I hope I can add to it.

Cheers,

Mancunian

I will post some pictures and to be sure, asking lots of questions...

We have them so well trained.

Can you also put your location in your profile? Helps when discussing vendors, clubs, etc...

His handle tells you where he is from - Manchester, UK.

Yes, but it doesn't say if he still lives there. And I bet 99.9% of the folks on this side of the pond didn't know that. Or maybe it was just me.

I wouldn't know a Mancunian from a Manchurian.

Anyway, welcome aboard! Be prepaired for the fact that many of your seals and bits of rubber may need attention after sitting for so long. Nothing hard about replacing them, but it takes you on a journey thru the bike.

Looking forward to seeing another one resurrected...
