One might go north and south at a good rate of knots but west to east.....not so sprightly!

England is almost the same size as Oregon you know!
And we have these damn roundabouts slowing us down...

looks great to me..but I would go with some low home market or euro bars rather than those 'clip on' things and your back will thank you

Agreed if you're going straight on.
Can sometimes be more like a hairpin.
If in Swindon...like riding between traffic cones.

I‘ve survived that many times, I couldn’t believe it the first time, I felt it might be a tiny glimpse into what it was like in a ww2 dogfight !!

The locals simply treat it like it’s not there...

I believe the first was the Plough roundabout in Hemel Hempstead ( also nicknamed the Magic roundabout) The first time I approached it in a car I just stopped and let go of the steering wheel in a blind panic. However, once you realize that you can go around them in either direction, and you know who to give way to they are brilliant.
