Just a quick note to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed this forum and gleaned many valuable hints from trawling through it. I have five commandos in Hong Kong, where there was a strong presence for British bikes under the colonial system. My last restoration of a 750 cafe racer was featured in 'Classic Bike guide' recently. I am currently working on a 750 roadster and have plans for a flat-tracker based special.

Hi dave,

Thanks for the positive feedback!

And by all means feel free to "jump in" any time.

PS: When did you get the new international airport? It's not as exciting as the old one by the harbor is it.

Jason, Thank you for your welcome. The new airport in Hong Kong was finished just after the handover in 1997 and is a big improvement over the old one. However the biggest change from our point of view is that under the stewardship of the glorious motherland we now have a classic bike club which includes plenty of Nortons, Triumphs and BSAs as well as Chiang Jiangs, Ducatis, Laverdas and all the other 'usual suspects'. We have regular rides and a show in the Central Business District in November every year so any enthusiasts who are traveling through HK are welcome to get in touch.
Regards
