The previous owner had the bike for 10 years and put on approximately 500 miles. Figure a changing of the fluids is a good idea since it has been sitting, and I get a baseline for the scheduled maintenance. Thanks for the recommendation on the oil as well!

Now that is just sad... The best thing about these bikes is the ride... Or maybe second gear around town. I love that gear more and more every time I ride my Norton...

For oils I've had good luck with Redline products as someone else has mentioned. Shockproof heavy for the gearbox and their synthetic motor oil. I think that's all they do is synthetic.

Please RIDE this one, 10 years sitting is way too long.

Welcome jsedacca, The problem with the Boyer analog on the MK3 is that when the electric starter is engaged it robs the other systems of juice, (boyer suffers when low voltage) then without adequate spark you are prone to it not starting right off and getting "kick back" and that's dangerous to the sprag clutch. Pazon electronic ignition is very good as well, ( Andrew who makes them used to work for Boyer, now resides in New Zealand and makes them there)easy to fit and easy to set advance and retard once fitted. There are three models, I have the Sure Fire, and 6 volt coils.
Starts a treat.
Regards Mike
