Hi all,

Just a quick update to introduce the new, Black, cNw Brembo brake kit

The cNw / Brembo conversion is the best bolt on brake upgrade you can get for your Commando and I decided to make it available in a Black finish for those that don't care for the bright, polished look of the std kit that we have offered for years

The Black is an Anodized finish so extremely durable and easy to work with. The kit, just like the std, will get you everything you need to convert....just add brake fluid

Check for all the details on the website, here http://coloradonortonworks.com/part-cat ... #post-1548

Very nice, Matt. I'm on of those who like the black better. Sometimes the bling from lots of shiny stuff is a bit much for me.

Ken

Nice one Matt. I would have had that set up without a doubt, when I built mine. Nothing wrong with the bling ones for those who like it, but like Ken said, its not for everyone. Your new ones are much more my cup of tea...!

Thats a nice clean looking kit w/o all the bling. I like it. Powder coat and paint don't hold up to brake fluid or worse yet the brake cleaner.

Yea Matt that stuff is very very nice !! Might be another E/mail ? Perhaps the A list grows ?

Matt if you supplied your disc in a 12" diameter you would sell a lot to folk who have rattly worn out RGM discs... Any chance?

Very nice Matt. As others have said the "bling" ones are just to much for me, this is great. I can see one in my future for sure. For now I'm pretty happy with the Brembo MC, braided line and the stock caliper but when I get my head back from Jim and the bike back on the road that could change. I'm thinking of building my 750 along the lines of what Jerry is doing with his and then there will be no choice but to have this brake. Good looking out and I think you will sell plenty of them. Anything that helps keep CNW alive & well is a good thing to me.

Aren't you mistaking RGM for Norvil of Stafford as there are a few posts about these and none on RGM.

No, I'm referring to the RGM item. Mine is really quite bad, so much so that at low speeds I often ride feathering the brake very slightly just to quieten it down!

What's up with that? The RGM upgrade is awesome and a price point most can handle. I believe Matts product is fantastic and it require no help by bashing another but if you have some beef with Rodger, take it up with him.
This is not the RGM complaint department.

I have.

They rattle badly.

This was a suggestion, not a complaint.

I had the norvil kit on one of my old bikes and it was the same. It stopped well, but the rattle drove me nuts. I put some copper grease on the back of the pads and it fixed it.
The brembo stops about the same, but no rattle and no copper grease needed.

Eddie....The Brembo rotor I use is one of their std sizes. It is 292mm (11.5") in diameter.

The cNw version also uses a unique offset from the hub to line up with the Brembo 4 piston caliper

The Brembo is a full floater of course and it's kept quiet by using thin, cupped washers on the backside of the buttons that tie the rotor and carrier together

Not sure this is an option to look at doing on rotors that may be noisy.

Jerry....your kit was shipped Friday. You have the 1st one !!

I really like the black accents. I have black switchgear w/levers, Hagons w/black springs, rearviews are black, and of course the Grimeca caliper. It's a handsome look.

That's what I am going for on my 750. The paint job Brent did is brilliant as usual. Black and silver (photos later). I cannot wait to get the black brembo on front.
I have been waiting 3 months for the crank. It's being balanced now, so should have it next week. Primary cover is going to be black too.

That looks like a lot of teeth on that front sprocket for a 750.

21 tooth. I am going to use Matt's new Belt Drive and the ratio is the same as stock.
