does anyone know if any supplier has these in stock?

I am being told they are on back order due to high demand

thanks

When I've run into back order issues I've gone down world wide list of vintage vendors for interesting contacts and often enough a surprise buying success. Trixie's anodized slides came an Amal order.

I just put a pair on my '73 850, got them from British Cycle Supply. Put my name on a list a few months ago and they called me when they came in.
Interesting thing about the pair is that one came in with four Phillips head screws and the other came in with four Pozidrive!
Glad you lined up a pair.

I got a pair from Jerry, put them on the Rapide. What a difference from worn out Concentrics. The fuel economy had dropped to 35 MPG Imperial and power in the midrange at was below normal, especially at high altitude.
The premiers brought the fuel economy and power back up, now getting 55-60 MPG Imperial, same jetting and slide cutaway as in the old carbs.
The fuel cost savings will pay for the new carbs in one season of riding. The better idle , stronger
Midrange and much improved range are bonuses.

I rode the Vincent 7,000 miles last year . Because of the worn out carbs, it was burning an Imperial gallon every 35 miles.
7000/ 35 =200 gallons.
I use midgrade gas which costs 1.40 per litre , 4.55 litres per imp. Gallon, so gas costs $6.37 per Imperial gallon.
200 gallons is $1274

Had the bike out on a 200 mile run today and it is getting spot on 60 MPG running around 65 -70 MPH.
So if I ride 7,000 miles this year at 60 MPG, the consumption will be 117 gallons of gas, which costs $ 743.
The fuel savings is $531 for one riding season. The carbs were under $400 shipped.

I rode on a 4000-mile trip to the Maritime Provinces from Ontario. I kept all my receipts for gas and calculated that I was getting 69 miles to the imperial gallon. My Amal Concentric’s were resleeved by Bruce Chessel and had new jets and needles. . I was running a belt drive and a 20 tooth final. So it was taller than stock. Jeandr in Montreal, Canada took my avitar picture during that trip. They perform really well when they are set right
Cheers,
Thomas

+1 for real British parts. The design is old but proven to work well. The Premiers address cheap parts and E-fuel issues of the originals.
-100 for cheap Chinese knockoffs of Japanese 2-cylinder carbs sold as 'customized' for Nortons.
