New alloy tank sealing?

What is the current opinion(s) on the need to coat (seal) the interior of a brand new
alloy tank?
I was just about to fuel up and thought it might be wise ask!
 
I actually was thinking of you went I posted!
Ill stand you a genuine Cornish pasty next time you're down west.
...and now time to pour in the dreaded ethanol laced petrol.
 
Paragoric or a cork in a pinch should seal you right up. The tank is okay as is though.

Low pressure air & soapy water to test. If a leak is found, have a competent TIG weldor excavate & repair. (15 minute) job.
Coating is a LAST RESORT.
 
Ditto on low pressure air & soapy water now that fun time is over. Rides are intoxicating….sorry. My bad.
