New 650 Twin

Looks a nice comfy seat, but surely that seam being right where your sit bones are is an annoyance?

I was over on the Isle of Man for the Classic / Manx TT. There were a few 650's there. One had been fitted with peashooters and sounded great !!

Apparently it's been the top selling bike in the U.K. for the past quarter.

Cheers,

cliffa.
I may just try fitting a set of peashooters to mine. Have to check the pipe diameter to make sure it will work. I remember seeing a Goldwing with peashooters, quite the sound.

I've been thinking of trying some Dunstall replicas on my old GL1000.... Bet that'll sing a strange song.k

Some Du/decibels come with two different pipe spacers for different diameter..

Andy Stait , a friend who wrote the book about 'The Mighty Interceptor' (the British '750 models) has bought one and likes it. I saw one New Years day at a Cotswold VMCC meeting and it looked good for the money.

My mate has just chopped his very nice Harris built 750 Triumph Tiger that we’d got running so sweet, in for a new RE Interceptor...

Stupid or genius ?

Well, he’s now fitted loud pipes and a comfy seat (from Hitchcocks) and is totally head over heels in love with the Royal Enfield Kardashian !

Thanks Nigel .. Its very imposing. My thinking is that if I hitch an Interceptor upto a sidecar it will have roughly the performance of my old Super Rocket with Palma chair. Fast enough then but not now. A big bore kit would make up someof the leeway if the rest of the engine willstand the additional stress

My guess would be that the 650 engine is built WELL within its limits, leaving much scope for more.

An 865 RE certainly has some appeal IMHO !

And no disrespect towards RE, but what’s the worst that can happen? It’s not like you’d be blowing up a priceless Black Lightening or Bruff Sup etc.

I urge you to proceed swiftly in the 865 direction and keep us all posted...!

I got a news letter from Draganfly.co.uk who also are the Craven suppliers. They now have a sweet looking set of penners painted to match the red/black paint job on the Enfield Interceptors.
