I need to see if anyone can narrow down the "pedigree" of this cam.
It has the single factory "S" stamping, with a second S hand-etched beside it, appearing as "SS".
Shown here is the Megacycle cam analysis of it, they considered it a "Combat replica" that should be run with flat cam followers (I've set it up that way in an 850)
As you can see, it has the drive side notch to drive the timed breather thimble, and the drillings for crankcase pressure relief through the drive side. It also have the tach drive worm gear for Commando.
My guess is that it is a regrind of a factory "S" cam (pretty obvious). Anyone recognize these numbers as a reference to a common re-grind, and whose work it might be?
Thanx.
