My first post!
Just bought my first Norton ES2 and i love it, should have done it decades ago.
Problem is cannot identify it 100% by frame number.
Frame number is GS 44486, according to lists in net its year 1952, but whats that S letter meaning?

Welcome to the ES fraternity, fun indeed. :)

There is normally a number after the first letter to indicate the model of bike - 3 for model 18, 4 for ES2 for instance. Perhaps worth a closer look?

Took some photos to help id.

NIce looking bike. Someone had dreams of riding an International by the looks of the paint job.
Sorry can't offer any suggestions on the number.

Your bike looks to have been made up from different Norton parts. The engine number i.e the crank cases are from an 1957 ES2.
