Hello all,

I have a 2018 961 Sport. I only picked the bike up last year having only travelled 800km. I have recently had an issue where I lost all drive on a recent ride and the clutch started to slip. The workshop has pulled it down and apart from the standard clutch kit it wil require it seem that the failure point was the actuator rod and ball bearing and clutch plate.

My real question is can anybody suggest where i may be able to find these parts to be able to repair it ? I am based in Australia and nobody seems to have any knowledge of where i might be able to find these bits. Happy to obviously ship them out of the UK but a bit of a guide would be most appreciated.

Send a mail to Thiel Motorsport in Germany.
Ollie should have all the parts.

Theil is probably the best chance but for the cost of a call try Brisbane Motorcycles to see if they have anything left from their time as importer.

Hello , Do you mean the pressure plate where the throwout bearing rides ? Make sure they check the countershaft side and that sprocket nut is still not come loose.

+1 for Skiddy’s advice above, if you haven’t already done so. Sean is the Service Manager at Brisbane Motorcycles Windsor, through 07 3357433. He should know if there are any spares still in-country.

These guys are still servicing my CR, although I‘m likely to start doing it myself from this point. Sean has a mechanic, South African I think, that seems pretty switched-on with the 961 if you need additional advice. He’s certainly thorough - I don’t care what time it is when I’m riding the Norton so I had never set the time on the clocks; he corrected that on the last annual service.

Have you tried Norton Birmingham? Make it easy for them - provide part numbers.
