As I was timing my bike the other day, my hand brushed against the rear of the cylinder. I then heard a “tink” noise. First reaction was, “Oh $#!+, don’t be the rear head bolt stud!” Sure enough. It’s stripped out.
In my research, I’ve found Jim Comstock and Memphis Motor Werks. Anyone else out there who does quality service that I should check with? Turn around time ranks a bit higher right now than $200-$300 difference in price. I’m going to have the whole head redone on top of thread inserts installed; new valves, guides, etc..
