Hi can any one let me know if the engine bolts (engine to frame) are the same as a matchless g80 set or are they commando or a bit of both, any information will be gratefully received, many thanks

Are you talking about engine plate to crankcase or engine plate to frame? If you mean engine plate to frame, the studs are the same as G80/G12/G15

On the G80, the front top stud goes through the frame lugs, a steel front plate that bolts to the crankcase in four points (and also supports the magneto), through a spacer tube, through the other side of the plate, and through the opposite lug. This stud (3/8" CEI) is locked in place by nuts/washers on both ends. The stud is about 6-3/8" long

The front bottom stud goes through the frame lugs and the lower front of the crankcase. This 3/8" stud is over 8" long

On The G15/N15, these same studs go through the front engine plates - steel items to adapt the Norton motor to the AMC frame. On the bottom stud there is a spacer between the engine plates. On the G15/N15, spacers are welded to the engine and transmission plates to shift the engine toward the timing side and the transmission toward the drive side to correct the differences between the AMC and Norton engines in the AMC frame

I'm no expert, but I have a '61 G80CS and a '67 G15CS in my garage, and I just went out and compared them

Many thanks Bill, thought that might be the case , I didn't want to guess and have even more spare parts, purchased in error filling the boxes in my workshop,
I really should get around to ebaying them, or should I leave it for the kids to do when I'm gone??
thanks for taking the trouble to look at your bikes to answer the question, I am going to order a set asap as the bike is coming along nicely, had a few days working at home so snuk some extra time in the workshop, cheers Paul
