Mystery connector

Under the tank of my 1975 Commando 850 electric start I find this small female connector that goes nowhere (I think). The four wires are red, white/purple (?), white/yellow and white/brown. What is this for?

Ignition sub-harness plug (for original ballast/contact breakers).

WP, WK, (white/pink), R, WY)

Thanks for your quick reply. A previous owner replaced the ballast/contact breaker system with a Boyer Bransden Electronic Ignition Kit. Can I assume this connector now is dead-ended and doesn't connect to anything?

The white/yellow would have supplied power to the ballast through the kill swich. You might want to trace out where that wire goes now.
