Well done Richard great mileage....have you checked your milometer!?View attachment 6153 View attachment 6154 View attachment 6155 I been hanging on to replace my rear tyre in order to get this magical 5 figure mileage out of it, it was a Dunlop Roadsmart 2,& the new one today is a Dunlop Roadsmart 3 ,so looking forward to getting at least that again with this one
They did change them a while ago and apparently they are looking at a different design but this means a modded sprocket. As an engineer I understand that a circular form is easier to manufacture but the radius of the drive pins is obviously going to try to load the rubber in a concentrated area and displace it to an area of lower loading rather than compress so it will obviously try to squeeze out wherever it can....
Deep joy, your making your rears last at least twice as long as I am! I've recently fitted my second Dunlop RM2 to the rear having burnt through the last one in 5k miles. The original qualifier only lasted 3kView attachment 6153 View attachment 6154 View attachment 6155 I been hanging on to replace my rear tyre in order to get this magical 5 figure mileage out of it, it was a Dunlop Roadsmart 2,& the new one today is a Dunlop Roadsmart 3 ,so looking forward to getting at least that again with this one
