Multi spark plugs

I MIGHT believe it if they posted a super slow motion video showing the "triple" spark happening.
This statement " Each of the Spark Plug sparks occur at the point of the biggest fuel concentration. " seems questionable.
How cd the plug possibly anticipate anything about the mixture? It's going to fire (we hope) when told to by the ignition system, yes?

Those plugs look like a projected nose version of a Nippon Denso ND SF-10 plug that were used on the late 60's Kawasaki 500 Mach 3 two stroke.

The problem with plugs like these (and those silly 3-electrode things) is that the spark only jumps in one place and is only as strong as the ignition and the plug's conductivity will allow it to be.

Surface-gap plugs were an early attempt to keep plugs from fouling while running in a nasty 2-stroke combustion chamber. The thought was the temperature would be high and uniform enough to preclude fouling with no space for combustion byproducts to accumulate.

A spark hot enough to burn all the way around would soon render any plug useless.

+1 snake oil

3 sparks from one? Maybe each one of these marvels has it's own flux-capacitor?

provides three simultaneous sparks per one ignition impulse

They say it's 3 sparks but it just that you get 1 spark that travels 3 gaps. So what !

Those plugs will only work with coils that are wound with unobtanium wire. Conventional coils will provide maximum placebo effect with the wonder plugs.

Great idea, Jim, they should market them as:

“Placebo Plugs (TM)” ...

“guaranteed to improve your (perceived) performance !!”

Reminds me of those little swirly things that were sold in the 70s that you inserted into your intake manifold to improve fuel/air mixture. Maybe they could be resurrected and sold along with these plugs as a total performance kit.

Another one that falls into the placebo category is the Motormite vacuum check valve when used as a PCV valve.

Also in the myth category, a Brembo master cylinder will outperform any other master cylinder. Not if it’s not sized correctly with the caliper.

I guess you guys are still running rim brakes & acetylene lights then?

Don't think in one dimension, check this out..

If this is real, the burn MUST be more efficient.

I'm not endorsing them in any way, but if you don't try these things how will you know?

If the price was (within reason) comparable i'd give them a go, especially if I had MSD ignition which triple pulses.

Don't forget Sunshine is a placebo too, and that works!:D

My MSD have only singel spark. Maybe I will try this one day.
Tanks for all feed back.
