I'm trying to improve on my own past performance, and so far I am on track to do that.
My involvement in this project includes-
Project conception & all General Contractor duties
Personally arranging sale of my 4-acre place, and purchase of 10-acre place
Coordinating all property improvement aspects & permits with City & County officials
Loading out and clearing out the old place
Hauling 10 bikes, an ultralight airplane, several large tool boxes and workbench, equipment, power tools, blast cabinet, parts wash sink, etc
Hauling several dozen large totes of parts, personal goods, etc
Basic AutoCAD design & specs of building
AutoCAD design of site utilities and lot development
Procuring quotes for all trades
Producing subcontracts for concrete slab & steel building
Procuring building steel, septic pipe & fittings, power pole, sacrete, water & septic tanks, garage door, and hangar door hoist motors
Site prep with the tractor
Installation of culvert pipe and levelling of materials for driveway
Laying in the septic lines in the slab
Laying in power secondary line in the slab
Installing the garage door from a DIY kit
"Hotshot" driver hauling materials from suppliers
I ANTICIPATE doing the following AT LEAST-
Install & connect 200 Amp main building electrical panel from meter pole
Wire in basic indoor & outdoor lighting & a few power outlets
Set up water tank with pressure pump, supplying PEX manifold that will serve 2-1/2 bathrooms & kitchen
Frame out & sheetrock 1/2 bath with toilet & sink
At that point, I need to settle any outstanding expenses that were put on credit cards (to get hotel points), then see what the remaining budget will support in the way of living space build-out. Overall plan is 2 bedrooms with full bathrooms, small kitchen, and living room that can accommodate maybe 12-20 people depending on dispersal during a large gathering. Oh, yeah, large closet, and some open storage at 2nd floor level.
