I can find no discussions on motorcycle insurance preferences. I was going to change provider but would like some input from the crowd. I suppose it would be for low miles per year classic bike with some kind of stated value. Anyone have a company they really like and why? USA only as that is where I am.

If you are eligible, then USAA can't be beat. Their service is stellar, and I always compared rates and they were always competitive. No pay out issues ever, at least on non-MC claims.

Hagerty is looking good at $143. USSA is the same as progressive. Returned the same price whether through USSA or regular Progressive. I had Progressive before. Any more worth checking on?

One more thing....

Hagerty is great for multiple bikes. Any additional bikes are a small incremental addition to the existing policy (like $30-50 small)

Thanks cyclone. I am about to go with them. They have 100/300/100 coverage while others are the minimum. Question re the stated value. Does this cover theft and comprehensive repair due to a crash? I have never had comprehensive on any of my bikes but might as well get it. They offer a $7500 minimum coverage for total loss but what about in a partial crash that can be repaired? I am a little dense here. Going to insure the Norton only for now and good to know re adding another bike, ie.the Triumph. The Norton is ready to go after a 2 yr rest. Valves were spot on. Cleaned the idle jet and lit her off on 2nd kick. She's a goer this one. Love my Norton. Thanks for your input.

Pulled the trigger with Hagerty. Best rate and best coverage. Left off the 10 mi towing as I have that covered and my Norton never fails anyway. Thanks for input.

I have Hagerty. 4 bikes under $200/yr. BSA A-10, Norton model 7, norton atlas, norton commando.

Here in Mass you can not get high liability coverages, just mandatory minimum coverage.
The main thing here is NO commuting to work. Maybe once or twice a month for "functional test rides" only.
Unlimited recreational riding.

Went with Hagerty. Great phone and computer support. Interesting sidebar. Normal coverage is 100/300/100. They look at your car policies, insurance agencies must have access to all your data, and if you are not carrying 100/300/100 on your cars they cut your coverage to match what you carry. Mine in this case was 50/100/50. I asked what that had to do with the cycle insurance. They said something about legal cases which meant nothing to me. Anyway mine went from $113 to $95.I opted out of the $30 for 10 mile towing. "When does a Norton ever let you down". Declared value $7500. Then this morning I was off to DMV to get her taken off non op status and a current sticker for another $83. California screws you in that department as they do not charge you for partial annual usage. Mine was at midpoint so I wasted $40 but I wanted to ride. Home again and with sticker in place off I roared on a 30 miler. She ran like a top and pulled just as hard as I remember. I had been off her for 2 yrs due to riding the BMW which I recently sold. I am definitely going to continue my hunt for a good vintage fairing. The Beemer does spoil you in that regard. Thanks to all who chimed in. I would recommend Hagerty for coverage and price. Also, no deductible on the $7500.
