Had a great time at the Rally, met some of the forum members and already lost most of the names. No disrespect meant. It's just an old guy thing. My 21 year old grandson and I drove this rig from Socal to the rally, and back, and only blew out 5 tires during the drive, one on the trailer and 4 on the motor home. I'm learning about the risks of using old tires on a heavy vehicle in hot weather, even if they do look like new in the tread wear department.

The campground was very nice. This is a shot of our site on the lake.

These are the bike we brought, a newly built Commando 883 for my grandson, and the Frankenbike for me. I meant to have both Commandos ready, but stole too many parts off my bike to get the new one finished. The seat, tank, and side covers, and a few other misc. parts came from my bike. We plan to have both bikes at the next rally. Except for some early brake issues and a broken muffler mount (brand new from Old Brits), the Norton was flawless, and my grandson had a great time riding it. He rode over 750 miles during the rally.

The turnout was huge. Every camp site, including the overflow area, was sold out to rally members. The pictures below show some of the concours entrants.

Yep, only blew three tires on the way back! Had a great time visiting with you and Hanna.

For those we haven't met, Jim's picture shows his daughter Hanna and my grandson Kenneth. At 20 and 21, they were among the youngest riders there. Lots of us old geezers though.

I'm already planning for the 2016 rally, to be held in Quincy, California.
