Modding the Loop

When I got my 71 project some of you may remember that the loop had been sawn off the rear frame. I lamely tried to find this section with no luck. Did find some steel tubing the same size and found I couldn't bend such a radius with a conduit bender so I have decided to compromise by modding the loop. Here is what I have come up with:

Looks cool, go for it. You could also integrate a license plate holder and taillight (LED :?: ) in that new fabrication, complete with hidden wires inside the tubing. Time to get thinking before the final welds are done :wink:

I have one of those aluminum bodied tail lights that mounts on the fender. The lense looks like a smaller version of the original. Tag mount is inclusive. It should work with the polished covers.

I was thinking more of a made to measure taillight/plate holder as part of that new loop, depending of course where you seat ends. Be bold, it's already different since you don't have the loop, so make it even more different.
