MKIII Lucas Rotor Thread Handedness

Hi Everybody,
The time has come to pull the gearbox. Does the big nut on the alternator rotor
spin off in the normal anti-clockwise direction? Any other odd nuts in the primary case to look out for?
I will be sending gearbox to Classic Bike in VT for internal work.

Kara sounds like you are stripping down/removing the primary in order to remove the gearbox for it's rebuild. Yes the nut is right hand thread. Clockwise to tighten and counter-clockwise to remove. Very tight at 80 ft. lbs. Other nuts are RH. too. The gearbox sprocket nut is different. But you are not there yet.
