My corrective action to date to solve the issues stated with this Mk3 has been to order parts -
New WLA both Canadian and USA
New Podtronics 200w 12v regulator
New H4 Goff LED bulb 30watt
K&N Mk3 air filter to allow removal of oem black airbox.

parts not recieved at this time.

received the pieces to resolve my Canadian Mk3 Commando red light warning issue -

New WLA both Canadian and USA
New Podtronics 200w 12v regulator
New H4 Goff LED bulb 30watt, daylighter headlight bulb H4 5000LM
K&N Mk3 air filter to allow removal of oem black airbox.

I pulled the Amals, manifolds and starter and removed the large black plastic Mk3 airbox. enough room to allow removal of stock , 45 year old Canadian WLA 06-6392, nut , bolt, washers, spacer.

Also installed the new Goff Daylighter H4 5000LM bulb, 30 watt.

Mk3 not running yet, plugged in new WLA connected new Li battery and turned on the key to first position.
The new headlight bulb comes on bright for half a second then fades back to dim, as if waiting for Mk3 to start and dim/bright with engine rev. however the dash red light is very dim as well.

Any Canadian Mk3 owners running this Goff light with same experience?

I have a Canadian Mark 3. It had a small voltage leak that I couldn't find and always had to keep on a tender to keep battery up. I installed LED bulbs but not Goff's. One night with all the lights out I noticed a dim glow From the LED head and tail light. As I tried to find the source of the current, I unplugged the assimilator and off went the lights. I figured that was my voltage leak and just tossed the assimilator and also the blue can capacitor as it was bulged on top and I figured useless. Now the bike can sit for weeks and still start at the push of a button. Sometimes I forget to turn my headlight on but I do that on my Triumph as well. If you are still running the blue capacitor, maybe it holds enough juice to light the bulb for a little while when the key is turned. May just work as it's suppose to once you get the motor running.

I disconnected my blue capacitor on this Canadian Mk3 and i still get a brief flash from the new Goff LED on turning the key on. The new Goff bulb settles into dim after the flash.
Upon start up, with a new WLA Canadian, the dim red warning light goes out.
