First of all a huge thank you to both Windy Eads and Jim Comstock for their help in modifying, prepping and rebuilding my engine and gearbox, I couldn't be happier.

I was reading the manual about replacing the primary side and it details a tool ST4928D to protect the seal when assembling over the clutch Circlip. It's different from the one on the timing side and I can't find one. Anyone have an idea where to buy one or does it need to be made, it is detailed in the book.

here are some pictures if that helps.
Another forum member and I made these up to protect the seal and provide proper alignment of the inner case on a MKIII.

Thanks Dave, did you make it to the drawing in the manual?

The diagram in the manual was used for the seal protector, the locator sleeve measurements were taken from the sleeve protector outside dia. and the size of the hole in the inner case where the seal is fitted.
