Hi All,
I have a1975 commando with twin 932 Amal carbs and would like to put some twin chrome filters on. (Not the cheap eBay type). I currently have a K&N filter but don’t like the look. I saw on another post S&B pods where suggested but I would like something chrome maybe or better looking. Can any recommend something?
Is anyone running twin pancake style filters?

I couldn't find a pic, (thanks, botophucket), but I have a pair in a box that I was using before my current setup (which wasn't an improvement, just a change). You're welcome to try them and you can buy them if you want or send them back. They are dry and have never been oiled or cleaned. Not a lot of hours running either.

Not sure there's room for 'pancakes' (Tri-BSA filters?) but if you still have the '75 airbox, don't toss it. They are not easy or cheap to find for those doing stock restos.
 
Jimmy Schimdt of JMS hi end upgrade parts fame, tested various filters to find factory paper element in ham can flowed as much or more than race carbs could draw and filtered better than KN oiled type racy 'looking' filters. Almost all, if not all after market sexy looking filters require some forceful fouling/distorting/smashing to fit Commandos. Boils down to cuteness appeal factor of poor grit filtering appearances vs realistic long term effective factory proven function.
