Is there a MK2B Commando? I see one advertised on Bikesales - didn't think there was anything between Mk 2A and Mk 3.
Any thoughts?

Yes 74 should have x over exhaust but very hard to get them as they regularly crack near to the join. Mine never cracked, just growed old and died from rust worm but have to fit non X over, miss the extra mid range torque.

The seat is the basket weave pattern from '73 model year. Likely an 850 Mk1 and not really from '74 production. Over the years anything is possible with mix and match parts.

My bike is living testament to that!

Boyer CDI ignition? (replacing the 2 original coils with the "highly rated" Suzuki 1100 one?)
Swiss bearings?
Mark II Amals?
Mark 11B?
Bigger and better battery "for the new coil"?
Burman gearbox?

That is one mighty special bike, as the price reflects...
