MK111 pilot bulb and holder was removed on my bike by P.O. So what connection works for this in my headlight shell ? Manual schematic not much help. Thanks. :shock:

Thanks Guido . I have a new Pilot holder in my hand , 97-951 with a brown wire with green stripe leading out of it. There are 2 BW wires in the shell that lead to a splice then back down into the harness , so be it. I could forget about it all as , the P.O. used scotch tape to seal up the unused pilot light hole , yes true.

Let's fix this. My intention is to use a higher wattage bulb , which I have in hand. 10 Watt halogen type. For daytime running.

That looks an interesting unit. Any pics of the 'angel eye' sidelight in action? Is it more effective than an LED pilot light/bulb as a daytime headlamp?

I live in Australia and we drive on the left side of the road. On that Ebay listing they state that the light is for Right Hand Drive use. I see that you are in the UK, does this light unit cutaway to the right or left. Light unit looks good- as does your bike by the way- and if the light is suitable for driving in the left side lane on the highway, I will buy a pair.

Is the reflector shallower, deeper or about the same as a standard one? I have a MK3 and as you know, there's a lot of wiring in the headlamp shell. So when looking at reflector upgrades it makes sense to check and if possible find a shallower one. I currently have a Wipac reflector from Paul Goff, and it is a wee bit shallower, so I can fit an LED headlamp 'bulb' in there. Did you have any trouble fitting the 'Angel eye' into the headlamp shell?

I've no idea about relative size compared to a standard reflector.
As I said, I had it in my Trident with an H4 bulb and two micro relays, and it was a bit of a squeeze.
I don't have standard wiring, and I made sure that the cables in the head lamp shell were a bare minimum when rewiring:
I can't stand all the clutter inside the average head lamp shell.
