The kill/run switch on my '75 is a little unpredictable. It's hard to tell when it's in the "Run" position; it may be centered, but is it making contact? The correct solution would be to disassemble and clean it, but I'm leery of disturbing old electrics.

So I came up with a plan to run my Warning Light Assimilator from the kill switch. I tapped into the white/yellow wire that is downstream from the switch and replaced it as the negative source (white) wire to the WLA.

Now if the kill switch is in the run position, the light is on; if the light is off, I need to work the switch.

So far, so good. No more kicking or cranking with no effect because the switch isn't absolutely centered.
