Hello all
This is my first post on the site though I have been lurking in the shadows picking up useful tips
I am currently working on a 75 MK 111 and have been for the last 2 years
I do have some experience with brit bikes having owned and worked on 3 meridan bonnevilles and a trident
I bought my MK 111 a few years back for a guy who insisted the the bike just needed a tidy up and a recommission ( yes I know I should known better) Since then I have been working on the bike as time and money permits
I have rebuilt the motor from the crank up replacing con rods , getting a rebore and valves and guides replaced . The frame has been powder coated and most of the original parts have been polished and painted to within an inch of their lives and the bike is slowly going back together. I have been using the norton workshop manual a Haynes manual and the chris rooke step by step guide
I am going to use the original airbox which came in a box of parts with the bike . I have it in place and am in the process of mounting the amal premiers . My question is how is the airbox mounted ? I currently have it on the inside of the frame on the opposite side to carbs and it seems a bit of a stretch between the carbs and the rubbers . Non of the manuals I have mention anything about the fasteners or spacers for the airbox can anyone enlighten me ?

No, the upper bracket goes in front of the frame plate with an 06-2170, 3/16" spacer between. It along with the bolt, nut and washers got left out of the parts list.
